SDP Database Query

SDP Database Query node panel in English, with the read-only query settings.

SDP Database Query runs a bounded, read-only query against the ServiceDesk Plus database.

Purpose and use: Read data from the selected portal’s ServiceDesk Plus database with fixed SQL SELECT semantics. It is not a write/query-language node.

Configuration: Required parameters.query SQL text. Optional parameters.parameters scalar map; parameters.timeoutMs (default 10,000 ms), parameters.maxRows (default 100), and parameters.maxOutputBytes (default 65,536). SQL text itself is literal; the editor blocks moustache templates in it.

Input/output and routing: One input and one output; connect as a direct step. Results include rows, columns, rowCount, truncation/hasMore, and timing metadata.

Expressions: Supply named SQL bind values as scalar parameters. Do not put workflow expressions in SQL text; the query text is literal and the editor rejects moustache templates.

Errors, permissions, and effects: Validation rejects non-SELECT/unsafe forms and enforces row, time, and output-size limits. Portal/database access is installation-specific. It is read-only by contract; failures stop or pass an error-shaped result according to onError.

Example configuration — fields validated against the 1.1.1 node schema; replace the identifiers with your own: {"parameters":{"query":"SELECT 1","parameters":{},"maxRows":100}}. Expected result: bounded query metadata and a single row containing the literal result.
